Registration is now open for IONA. Registration is payable by credit card and a receipt will be sent via email.

Venue

The conference will take place at the Simon Fraser University campus at Harbour Centre in downtown Vancouver, BC at 515 West Hastings Street (look for the building with the UFO on the top). The registration desk will be in the main entrance hall of Harbour Centre and the seminars, workshops, and labs will be held in five break-out rooms; map here. The plenaries will be held in the Fletcher Challenge Theatre, also in the Harbour Centre building. All rooms are accessible; accessibility guide to SFU Harbour Centre here. There is a small branch of the SFU University library at Harbour Centre, as well as Printing and Copying services; here.

Simon Fraser University’s Vancouver campus is located on the traditional territories of the Squamish (Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw), Tsleil-Waututh (səl̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ), and Musqueam (xwməθkwəy̓əm) Nations.

Hotel

The conference hotel is the Delta by Marriott at 550 West Hastings Street: absurdly close to the conference venue and with excellent access to Coal Harbour, Gastown, and the West End. The conference rate is CA$229/night plus tax. Rooms are limited, so please book soon.

Reservation at conference rates available here.

The Vancouver airport (YVR) is easy to get to and from. Taxis from the airport to downtown run about CA$40. There is a train from YVR to downtown as well: take the Canada line from Airport Station to Waterfront Station and it is about a 200 meter walk: CA$9. Tickets available at kiosks in the train station, or you can tap your chipped credit card for the same price as a ticket.

Travel

Coffee and tea will be made available during the day at the conference venue, and lunch provided one day. Participants will find many restaurants, cafes, food trucks and the like all about downtown Vancouver for other meals. List of recommendations will be included in the full program.
